The whole rollout, not just a logo.

Brand and design for UK industrial and field-service firms. Vans, site boards, workwear, tender templates and an AI setup to keep it all on brand, in about six weeks.

Fleet

Most firms look like three different companies. The van says one thing, the tender another, the website something else. I fix that, and roll it out properly.

    Brands I've worked with

Twenty-five years at Dyson, Silver Agency and Havas Helia, for clients like these.

Organix, Wales & West Utilities, Targus, Pets at Home, Subway, Clifton College, Honda, Dell, Taylor Wimpey, Bristol Zoo Gardens, Volvo, Wincanton

    Selected work

Two businesses that now look like what they are.

    More, without the extra people

One senior designer, working with the latest tools.

A rebrand used to mean paying for a strategist, a designer, a copywriter, a photographer and an artworker, plus someone to manage them all.

Using the latest technology, I cover all of it myself. So you get more of the things you actually use, from one person, for less than a team would cost.

    • StrategyPositioning and messaging
    • DesignIdentity and full brand system
    • CopyTone of voice, headlines, web and tender copy
    • ImageryPhotography direction and image creation
    • ArtworkPrint-ready livery, signage and workwear files
    • TemplatesTenders, quotes, reports and social

Benchmark got 60+ assets in one system, workshop to handover in six weeks. One point of contact the whole way through.

    Every brand ships AI-ready

Most agencies keep the keys. You get them.

More businesses want their own team in charge of everyday creative. So on every project, I hand over the building blocks: the rules, the designs and the tools, set up so your team can make their own on-brand work from day one.

    • Brand rules fileYour voice, colours and design rules, written so the tools your team uses follow them.
    • Prompt bankTested image and copy prompts, so the first results look like you.
    • TemplatesQuotes, tenders, letters and social posts, ready to fill in.
    • A setup sessionAn hour with your team, so it actually gets used.
    • Still comes to meNew logos, vehicle livery and anything printed at scale.

    It stays on brand

Most rebrands drift within 18 months as staff and suppliers change. The brand file and templates keep everyone on the same page, long after handover.

    You own it, properly

Final marks are drawn and checked by hand, not generated, so you're not left with a logo you can't own or protect. Ownership of every file is confirmed in writing.

    Your team, in charge

Social posts, quotes, letters and simple graphics come out on brand without waiting on a designer. I design the system and stay on call for the big things: new logos, livery and anything printed at scale.

    What I do

Procurement notices. A tidy van and a proper tender pack read as capability.

    Brand check

Six questions, one minute. The score shows where it's costing you.

Do you have your logo as a vector file (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF)?
Do you know your exact colours for print, paint and vinyl?
Do all your vans carry the same version of the logo?
Is there a set template for tenders and quotes?
Does your workwear match your vans and website?
Could a new supplier get it right without ringing you first?

    New identity

Discovery, strategy, identity system, guidelines and a proper handover.

    Scoped to fit

    Identity and rollout

Everything above, across your fleet, sites, workwear, documents and website.

    Scoped to fit

Most projects start from £2,500. Every price is fixed and agreed before work starts.

    Joe Blowen

I'm Joe. Twenty-five years in design, including Dyson, Silver Agency and Havas Helia. I've been the client too, so you talk to the person doing the work, the price is fixed up front, and you own every file.

"Joe nailed it on the head, and patiently took us along our journey until we captured what our brand looked like on paper."Charlie Knights, founder of Pure Trails

    Questions

Do I need a full rebrand?

Usually not. Most firms need consistency, not a new logo. I'll tell you which on the call.

    Who owns the work?

You do, on final payment, in writing. Including the working files.

Can you work with our signwriter and printer?

Yes. I send exact specs for colour, size and placement, so nobody guesses.

    How long does it take?

About six weeks from workshop to handover for an identity. Two to three for a tidy-up.

    Do you use AI?

Yes, for research, exploration and production, which is why you get more assets for your money. Final logos are drawn and checked by hand, and nothing goes out without my sign-off.

Can't I just do this with AI myself?

You can make things with it. Knowing which things are right for a van, a tender and a site board is the hard part, and that's 25 years of judgement. You also get a mark you can actually own.

    What happens after handover?

Your team runs day-to-day work with the brand file and templates. If you want, I do a quarterly check to keep everything consistent and add new templates as you need them.
